As any other tackle, monofilament lines have also been advanced. Fifteen years ago you could fish pike with a diameter of at least 0,50 mm. Today 0,30 mm is too much. The fishing line produced nowdays has high impact performace, it features high knot strength and superior abrasion resistance for working around under water obstacles.
It is therefore time to change some old habits. Especially because our way of handling different lure types depends on the monofilament line diameter.

Monofilament diameter depends on the fishing location and fish type:
Perch: line diameter from 0,16 to 0,20 mm, line weight 2,5 kg
Black bass: line diameter from 0,20 to 0,26 mm, line weight 4 kg
Walleye: line diameter from 0,22 to 0,28 mm, line weight 6 kg
Pike: line diameter from 0,28 to 0,30 mm, line weight 6 kg
European catfish: line diameter from 0,45 to 0,50 mm, line weight 13 kg

Discreetly and from a large distance, in two or three casts, always search the shore in front of you!

THE OPPOSING SIDE SYNDROM

Almost all predator fish sometime or later settle by the bank, as occupants or just temporarily! In rivers and canals, both sides are equally interesting. However, the large number of anglers seems to be attracted only to the opposite side, neglecting entirely the one in front of their feet. And to make things worse, once they are on the other side, they are again trying to reach the other side, forgetting that the fish of their life might me right here, in front of their nose!

In order to make the newly created lure more even effective, combine some figurative* model with a lure which creates strong vibrations.

TWO MAKES MIGHT!

Many anglers believe that predator fish get used to our lures in time and after a few bad experiences do not bite any longer. In order to cheat them, it is necessary to keep buying new lures or keep inventing new tricks! The first solution is great, but costly. The second needs creativity and many ideas!
A few incisions at the tail of a rubber jig is enough to create new vibrations! Join the forces of a spinner and twist, or spinner and cranckbait or spoon and twist.. on one and the same lure! A few tufts from the marabue's feather of bright colour on the spinner three point hook will attract the natural curiosity of predator fish!
